Mr. Sprigg is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. He served in the
Navy as a designated Naval Aviator rising to the rank of Rear Admiral. He is a graduate of the Naval Test Pilot School, Naval Nuclear Power School and the Naval Postgraduate School where he earned a Masters Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. His Command assignments while serving in the US Navy included Strike Fighter Squadron 113, USS Camden (AOE-2), USS George Washington (CVN-73), USS Truman and USS John F. Kennedy Carrier Battle Groups and the Navy Warfare Development Command.
Following retirement from the Navy In 2002, Bob joined General Dynamics Bath Iron Works where he led the Advanced Concepts and Strategic Business Development for BIW. Additionally, he led the GD Corporate Strategy Development team for the General Dynamics Marine Group and was instrumental in developing the GD LCS design concept and in the successful capture of that program. Bob left GD to join THALES USA in 2007, establishing their Naval business, Thales Naval Inc. (TNI), as an SSA company. He served as President, before helping to merge TNI into the larger, Thales Defense and Security Inc. (TDSI) Proxy company. He left Thales in 2014 to join Battlespace Flight Services serving as President and CEO of the company from 2014 to 2016. Bob joined ELTA NA (ENA) as Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer in 2016, establishing ENA as a Proxy Company in early 2020, when ENA became the first and only 100% Foreign Government Owned Company to achieve Proxy status. Mr. Sprigg left ENA in Nov 2020 and established R Sprigg Associates LLC. as a Defense and Security Consulting Firm, where he now serves as President and CEO.
Rene “Rod” Rodriguez is a partner at RSprigg Associates (RSA) LLC in Alexandria, VA. In this role, he leads the RSA’s efforts across multiple markets. Mr. Rodriguez has held ever increasing leadership roles in the aerospace and defense industry. Before joining R Sprigg Associates he led ELTA North America Strategic Programs. Leading to the successful introduction of the Iron Dome System to the US Army. Prior to that he led BAE Systems, Global Fighter Programs Business Development. At Raytheon he led the AESA radar pursuits to the successful closing of the Korean F-16 radar modernization program. Mr. Rodriguez began his civilian career at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co where he was crucial in the close, establishment, and delivery of the Chilean Air Force’s initial batch on new F-16s
Mr. Rodriguez retired from active-duty service in the U.S. Air Force in 2002. Rod is a combat veteran fighter pilot with over 3800 hours including a combat tour of duty during the First Gulf War. He has held command at various levels and served on the Air Staff at the Pentagon in Operations, Budgeting & Programs, and Legislative Liaison (Appropriations). He is a graduate of Rutgers University and Southern Methodist University (MBA).
